The CoNEXTions Application (“Application”) by Double Dutch for Nielsen is intended for use by ConEXTIONS registered CVENT event attendees. The Application is intended to provide users with practical event information like agendas, speaker bios, and maps. These terms govern the use of this Application.

Nielsen Protects Your Privacy

Nielsen takes your privacy very seriously. We have created this Notice to explain how we protect and use the individually identifiable information Nielsen may gather from you when you use this Application. Please note that this Notice applies only to your use of this Application and not to participation in any other panels, online services, or surveys provided by Nielsen.

This Application collects personal identifying information, which means information by itself – like your first and last name, home postal address or personal email address – or in combination with other information, could identify a specific individual. Your personal identifying information may be shared with, directly collected by, or provided to Nielsen by CVENT or DoubleDutch for Nielsen’s use in the intended research. Your personal identifying information will never be used by Nielsen to advertise, promote or market third party goods or services to you. We will not license, publish or sell any information collected from you that can be tied to you as an individual user. This Privacy Notice does not apply to information collected directly by CVENT for CVENT ’s own uses.

We have implemented a variety of physical, technical and legal safeguards to help ensure that the information collected through our Application is protected from unauthorized use, modification or disclosure.

The CoNEXTion Application Will Not Affect the Performance of Your Mobile Device

The Application will not affect your mobile device experience or conflict with other software you have running on your mobile device.

Information Collected

The Application may collect the following information:

Information Provided by CoNEXTions:

• CVENT may provide personal identifying information about the user to Nielsen for registration or processing purposes. This information includes, but is not limited to: name, employer, relation to CVENT , company e-mail address, and other employment information.

Information You Provide:

• Personal identifying information you provide prior to and during the registration process, and from time to time thereafter, which may include: name, email address; Through your use of our software or hardware, we will also receive data you provide or enable through the Application, such as when you voluntarily provide us with access to the location of your device, enable push notifications, and activate hardware functions like your camera or microphone to upload photos, recordings and videos; and
• Images and other data you purposely send through the Application like status updates, photos, questions and answers, or section bookmarks.
• In using this Application the information you enter will be hosted by Double Dutch and accessible to Nielsen exclusively.

Device Activity:

• Application usage activity.

Device or System Data:

• Standard technical information about your device, system, network, and application software, such as unique device identifier, device model, operating system, browser type and version, the date and time of your visit, and IP address.

How This Information Is Used

Nielsen will use the information it collects through the CoNEXTion Application for the purpose of hosting, planning, and future improvement of the [Nielsen] Consumer 360 events.

Nielsen or DoubleDutch may need to access personal identifying information to contact you for purposes of rectifying any technical deficiencies in the Application or resolving any related service problems.

Sharing and Use of Your Information

We do not provide any third parties with any of the personal identifying information you provide. Nielsen may share your personal identifying information with third party service providers who assist us with the processing of the data collected by this Application. Such third party processors are prohibited from using the information for their own purposes.

We may release personal identifying information to third parties when disclosure is required by law or when necessary or desirable to exercise or preserve our legal rights, or to take action regarding potentially illegal activities.

If all or part of our company is sold, merged or otherwise transferred to an unrelated entity, your information, whether personally identifiable or otherwise, may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Minors

Because Nielsen requires users of the application to be at least 18 years of age, we do not knowingly collect personal identifying information about minors. If we become aware that we have collected the personal identifying information of a minor, we will take reasonable steps to delete it immediately.

Security

Nielsen uses reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect your information while under our control. We may store and process your personal identifying information in your home country and/or we may transfer and export these data to any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers and processors, including the United States and India. The data protection laws of other countries may differ from those in your home country. Please be aware that storage and communication of data cannot always be 100 percent secure.

By using this Application, you consent to the transfer of your information – “sensitive” or otherwise – to countries outside of your country of residence.

We store the personal identifying information we hold about participants on our servers for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in the Terms of Service and this Privacy Notice.

Updates to this Privacy Notice

We reserve the right to update and make changes to this Privacy Notice. If we were to make a material change (the kind of change to the way we use your data that might make you reconsider using this Application) we will notify you by in app notification and we will provide you with access at least 30 calendar days prior to its implementation, giving you time to remove the Application if you want. Your continued use of the Application after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of all of the changes.
